So, it is said that Tina Turner, who moved to Switzerland in the 90’s because of her German boo-thang,Erwin Bach, has decided to make the situation permanent. She has filed for Swiss citizenship and will be denouncing her U.S. citizenship, because she loves her privacy in Switzerland and plans to live nowhere else.
TRANSLATION: Switzerland tax rates are much cheaper, and Tina Turner is like “Hell No, I’m not giving the U.S. anymore of my hard earned money!” Common ya’ll, you see all these celebrities being arrested for tax evasion! There are many wealthy people relocating outside of the U.S. because of cheaper or nonexistent taxes. The Bahamas is a popular, nearby location with low taxes. Oprah and Jigga and Beyonce are just a few that own homes there. I also believe Singapore and Switzerland are listed as having good or reasonable tax rates. However, keep in mind…once you denounce your U.S. citizenship I’ve read that it can’t be reinstated! So choose wisely! Anyway Switzerland is extremely beautiful. I’ve been there, but I don’t think I would relocate there permanently! But to each their own. Anyway, according to Page Six:

“The Tennessee-born Turner had moved to Switzerland in 1995 to be with her German-born record-producer beau, Erwin Bach.”
“I’m very happy in Switzerland, and I feel at home here,” the 73-year-old Turner was quoted as telling the Swiss daily newspaper Blick.
