Honestly, I am sick and tired of the reality tv genre. I miss the 90’s and the decades prior to that when quality television and sitcoms existed. Now every time I turn on the television, I’m slapped in the face with another reality show. Unfortunately, since reality programming is so cheap and convenient, I know that we will never return to the era of great sitcom tv. Rolling my eyes…..Now if you’ve been watching all these reality shows, particularly Love and Hip Hop New York, you are aware that the new season has premiered on January 7th,2013, and the cast is basically completely new except for Yandi Smith, Olivia Longott and Rich Dollaz. The new cast members include Winter Ramos, Rashidah Ali, Kaylin Garcia, Jen the Pen, former G.O.O.D. artist Consequence, Raqui Thunda, Lore’l, Tahiry and Joe Budden, who the show seems to focus on as a replacement for Jim Jones.
I actually caught last weeks episode on Vh1 and the story line was very dull. I don’t find the new cast very interesting at this point. Hopefully, it becomes more interesting with time, but at this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if ratings dropped for the highly popular show.
UPDATE: I’m currently in the middle of watching Love and Hip Hop New York’s second episode, which airs 7pm est. time Monday’s, and it’s just a boring as the first episode!
