Is everything in your life necessarily going to get better if you’re light skinned or white? Bleach cream has been a phenomenom in the black community since I was young, especially in Africa and heavily populated black countries, and other countries where darker skinned people reside, like the Phillipinesg. Lil Kim has been doing it for years, and many other black celebrities as well as average citizens heavily utilize this product to lighten their complexion for the wrong reasons. Why do so many black people hate themselves, even Wayne was recently at the center of racial controversy when someone accused him of not liking dark skinned girls….and the proof is in the pudding if you listen to many of his lyrics….ex: (Right Above It) “beatiful black women, I bet that bitch look better red!” Anyway recent victims of the skin bleaching epidemic are, famous baseball player, Sammy Sosa and infamous dancehall superstar,Vybz Kartel. Isn’t it funny how caucasians tan regurlarly to be dark and black ppl bleach their skin to be lighter and whiter. Although this point has been made for the past couple of years, Vybz Kartel recently justified his skin bleaching behavior with a similar statement. He has also been endorsing something called Cake Soap, that he claim’s is what lightened his skin, but other companies who create the soap claim that he is lying about cake soap being a bleaching agent. It is said that he’s using a very strong unkown lightening product.
